Water Restriction Lifted Ballinakill and Durrow Public Water Supplies
Following advice from the HSE, Irish Water wishes to advise all customers on the Ballinakill 2 and Durrow 2 Public Water Supplies, and to consumers on the Clonkeen-Fermoyle Group Water Scheme, Dunmore Group Water Scheme, and Tinwear Group Water Scheme, that the drinking water restriction notice imposed on 17 June is now lifted with immediate effect.
Normal use of the water supply for preparing drinks for babies under the age of six months can resume. Irish Water and Laois County Council carried out a programme of work at the treatment plant which was followed by a period of sampling.
The Irish Water Customer Contact Centre (1850 278 278) is available to answer customer queries in relation to this water notice. Further information and additional advice for customers is available on the service and supply section or by calling the contact centre.
Irish Water and Laois County Council acknowledge the patience, cooperation and assistance of the general public during the period of the drinking water restriction notice and greatly regrets any inconvenience caused.
