Disruption to water supply in Ratoath and surrounding areas from 10pm tonight until 6am tomorrow morning
Disruptions due to burst on water main
A burst has occurred on a water main which may cause supply disruptions to customers in Ratoath, Fairyhouse Road, Kilbride, Curragha, Kilbrew and surrounding areas in Co. Meath.
Irish Water and Meath County Council are working to repair the burst as soon as possible. A repair crew is on site, however the repair is proving more complex due to a full pipe length replacement and difficult ground conditions hampered by groundwater ingress from the recent heavy rainfall.
Repair expected to be completed by 10pm tonight
The repair is now expected to be completed at approximately 10pm tonight. Once the repair is completed the reservoir can replenish overnight and water supplies should be restored for impacted customers tomorrow morning at approximately 7am.
A traffic management system will be in place for the duration of the works.
We understand the inconvenience when a burst occurs and regret any inconvenience caused. We would like to thank customers for your patience while we work together with Meath County Council to repair the burst and restore supply to impacted customers.
