Irish Water is asking customers in Drogheda and East Meath in the following areas: Drogheda Town and surrounding areas, Rosehall, Clogherhead, Termonfeckin, Ashbourne, Ratoath, Curragha, Duleek, Donore, Bettystown, Laytown, Mornington, Julianstown, Gormanstown, Ardcath, Stamullen, Skyrne and surrounding areas to conserve their water supply until further notice due to a burst on a large watermain. The burst occurred on a main that brings water to the Staleen Water Treatment Plant. Crews are on site repairing the burst since early this morning.
Customers in the affected areas may experience some disruption and or pressure reduction to their water supply. Irish Water apologises to customers for any inconvenience caused and thanks them for their patience while crews work to repair the burst. As soon as the burst is repaired and storage levels return to normal in the reservoir we will advise customers that they can return to normal use of their water supply.
