Customers advised in Skryne Crossroads and surrounding areas of intermittent disruptions until Friday 12 June
Customers may experience intermittent low water pressure until Friday 12 June
Irish Water is working in partnership with Meath County Council to carry out essential repairs at a pumping station in Skryne impacting customers in Skryne Crossroads and surrounding areas. Customers in these locations may experience intermittent low water pressure until Friday 12 June. When the essential works are complete it may take 2-3 hours for normal water supply to return to all customers.
Irish Water and Meath County Council regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks customers for their patience while we complete these essential works to restore normal supply to impacted customers and to safeguard the water supply.
Irish Water is encouraging customers to conserve water while these essential works are underway. We are asking customers in these areas to be mindful of how they use water. However it is important to continue to follow the HSE guidance on hand washing.
Conserve where possible
While handwashing remains a priority, simple water conservation efforts can have a big impact on reducing demand on the supply. Taking a shower instead of a bath or using a watering car rather than a hose when gardening can also make a big difference in water use. We are also reminding people with responsibility for properties that are currently unoccupied to check for leaks and turn off water where it is not required. There are lots more tips on how to conserve water in your home on our Conservation page.
Irish Water is working at this time, with our local authority partners, contractors and others to safeguard the health and well-being of staff and the public and to ensure the continuity of drinking water and wastewater services.
The latest updates on these works will be available on the Supply and Service section. The Irish Water customer care helpline is open 24/7 and customers can call us on 1850 278 278. Customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries.
