Burst water main on the Dublin Road in Limerick successfully repaired
Water supply is returning to normal for impacted customers in the City
Irish Water, working in partnership with Limerick City and County Council successfully repaired the major pipe burst that occurred on the Dublin road adjacent to the railway bridge last night at approximately 9pm. The Dublin Road is currently open to traffic. Supply should have returned to all customers following the completion of the repair as water refilled the network. However, after a disruption to supply some properties may experience air locks and information on how to deal with this can be found on our website here. If customers are experiencing particular difficulties please contact our call centre on 1850 278 278.
We would like to thank the crews who worked into the night to repair the burst and return supply to those impacted.
Irish Water and Limerick City and County Council regrets any inconvenience caused by this burst and thanks customers for their patience while we worked to carry out the repair and restore supply to impacted customers. Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1850 278 278 and customers can also contact us on Twitter @IWCare with any queries.
