Burst pipe in Navan has been successfully repaired
Water is currently being restored to homes and businesses
Irish Water can confirm that the trunk main that feeds water into Navan town has been successfully repaired. Water is being restored to homes and businesses in north, west and south Navan town and some surrounding areas over the coming hours.
Between 5,000 - 10,000 customers in those affected areas may have experienced some outages and or low pressure while the repair was taking place. Supply was maintained to other areas from the Kilcarn Water Treatment Plant specifically the Dublin side of Navan and surrounding areas.
Vulnerable customers who registered with Irish Water were supplied with water from contaciners. Tankers replenished water storage tanks in Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan.
A temporary reinstatement of the road is taking place today currently and a permanent reinstatement in parallel to installing extra drainage and road gullies adjacent to the main to help eliminate further flooding of properties in the area.
Iish Water apologises for the inconvenience caused by this incident and thanks customers for their patience and cooperation.
