Boil Water Notice issued for Ahascragh Public Water Supply Scheme

Following advice from the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and Galway County Council, as a precautionary measure, are issuing a Boil Water Notice on the Ahascragh Public Water Supply Scheme following the detection of elevated turbidity in the water supply.

The notice affects 853 people and only applies to customers on the Ahascragh Public Water Supply and the following group schemes: Lowville No. 2, Castlegar West, Castlegar Lissyegan, Cornamucklagh, Ballyglass

You must boil your water for:

• Drinking - Drinks made with water
• Preparation of salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating
• Brushing of teeth
• Making of ice

Irish Water and Galway County Council wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this announcement.
