Boil Water Notice issued for Carraroe Water Supply

Following advice from the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and Galway County Council, are issuing a Boil Water Notice on the Carraroe Public Water Supply to protect consumers. The boil water notice has been put in place due to the detection of cryptosporidium in the water supply which serves 4,700 people.

You Must Boil Your Water for:

• Drinking - Drinks made with water
• Preparation of salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating
• Brushing of teeth
• Making of ice
• This notice only applies to consumers fed from the Carraroe Public Water Supply.

Further information, including a map of the scheme and additional advice will be made available on Irish Water and Galway County Council’s websites. Irish Water and Galway County Council wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this announcement.
