Following advice from the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and Galway County Council, are issuing a Boil Water Notice on the Carraroe Public Water Supply to protect consumers. The boil water notice has been put in place due to the detection of cryptosporidium in the water supply which serves 4,700 people.
