Boil Water Notice issued for Loughrea Water Supply Scheme
Following advice from the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and Galway County Council, as a precautionary measure, are issuing a Boil Water Notice on the Loughrea Public Water Supply to protect consumers.
You Must Boil Your Water for:
- Drinking - Drinks made with water
- Preparation of salads and similar foods, which are not cooked prior to eating
- Brushing of teeth
- Making of ice
This notice only applies to consumers on the Loughrea Public Water Supply including the Craughwell area and the following group water schemes (Earlspark, Masonbrook, Newtowndaly, Loughrea Rural, Killeenadeema, Carrowmore/Clostoken & Caherlaven, Caherdine, Carrigean)
Further information, including a map of the scheme and additional advice will be made available in the morning on Irish Water and Galway County Council’s websites.
