Boil water notice issued to customers in Ballygar Co. Galway
Following advice from the HSE on 12th August 2015 - Irish Water and Galway County Council have issued a boil water notice to 1,344 customers in Ballygar. The Boil Water Notice only applies to customers on the Ballygar Water supply.
Sampling has found the presence of Ecoli in the water network, Irish Water and Galway County Council are in the process of locating the source of contamination. Affected customers are advised to carefully following the guidance provided on the Boil Water Notice and to check the service and supply updates section for further updates in the coming days. Information will also be provided through local Radio, Galway County Council Website and Leaflet drops to food business operators.
Irish Water and Galway County Council apologises to all affected customers for the inconvenience and disruption the imposition of this boil water notice will cause.
