Amendments to Cork City network improvement works

15 September 2022

Information below is relevant until further updates are provided here or on our Supply and Service Updates section.

Uisce Éireann wishes to advise customers in the South Douglas Road and Green Park areas of changes to scheduled works.

The works planned for the Green Park area today, 15 September have been postponed until further notice.

Works commencing today on the South Douglas Road will now begin at a later time. Customers are advised that there may be disruption to water supply from 9pm on Thursday, 15 September to 1am on Friday, 16 September.

Originally the works were scheduled to take place from 6pm to 10pm on Thursday, 15 September.

Areas impacted Heatherton, Greenhills Estate, Greenhills Court, Berkeley Court, Ashdene, Alderwood, Ashwood, Spring Road, Moss Lane, Ivy Crescent, Mount Vernon Crescent, Glencurrig, Willow Park, Hillgrove Lawn, Trabeg Lawn and surrounding areas.

During these essential works, homes and businesses in the area may be impacted by reduced water pressure and water outages. Following the completion of improvement works, the water supply may take two-three hours to return as water refills the network. Work crews will endeavour to complete works ahead of time to expedite the return of supply to the affected areas.

Uisce Éireann understands this type of work can be inconvenient and will ensure our work crews make every effort to minimise any disruption these works may cause.

Customers can call the Uisce Éireann customer helpline on 1800 278 278 for any questions concerning the works.
