Since 2014, your Local Authority has managed your business account on our behalf. Over the coming months, we will begin managing all aspects of your account directly. This will happen on a phased basis by Local Authority area and we will notify you in advance.

Is your business account being managed by Irish Water yet?

If you are a customer in one of these Local Authority areas and have received a letter from us, your account is now being managed directly by us.

If your Local Authority area is not listed, your business water services account will continue to be managed directly by your Local Authority and you should contact them directly. 

Moving premises

If your business is moving into or out of a premises, it’s important for you to contact us so we can set up a new account or update your existing account.

When you are moving premises, please call us on 1850 778 778 or +353 1 707 2827 (9am-5.30pm Mon-Fri) quoting your Irish Water account number. You’ll need to:

  • Provide your name, the address you’re moving into or out of, your business contact details and your Irish Water account number.
  • If the premises is metered, you’ll need to provide a meter reading at the date water services are due to be transferred. If you cannot read the meter, for your convenience, we will generate an estimated meter reading to open, update or close your account.
