Think Before Your Pour

When fats, oils and greases (FOGs) are hot and in liquid form, they pour easily down the kitchen sink. However, when they cool they form solid masses which can cause serious pipe blockages and sewer flooding, resulting in property damage and harm to the environment.

Think Before You Flush

Every day thousands of unsuitable items are flushed down the toilet instead of being put in the bin. This creates problems to the plumbing in our homes, our neighbour’s homes, our wastewater network and our marine environment.

Water goes through a remarkable journey to reach us. Each day 1.7 billion litres of water travels through a network that includes 63,000km of pipes to supply the nation with treated drinking water.
