Reporting to the Head of Financial Governance and Compliance, the Insurance Manager will lead a team of Insurance professionals across Placement and Claims to develop and drive the IW Insurance Programme to appropriately understand and protect the business against risk and to deal with all claims that arise against Irish Water.
Under the direction of the Insurance manager the Insurance area is responsible for ensuring that Irish Water (IW) has the most appropriate insurance cover in place for its operational and construction activities, contractors are carrying the necessary insurance policies at appropriate levels when undertaking work and or providing services to IW. The Insurance function is also responsible for ensuring that insurance related claims are investigated and managed in a costeffective manner in accordance with policy terms and conditions. This Includes up to 600 new public liability claims annually which are handled “Cradle to Grave” under a self-insured retention.
