The Asset Operations functions form the cornerstone of service delivery to customers, protecting the environment and meeting regulatory standards as well as managing the majority of operational expenditure. The Wastewater Operations Function has responsibility for operational and maintenance strategies, policies, planning and standard operating procedures for Wastewater operations nationally, regionally and in local communities ensuring that value for money and customer service is delivered.

The Head of Wastewater Operations will report directly to the Head of Asset Operations and ultimately to the Chief Operations Officer after an initial establishment phase. The role-holder is responsible for the national delivery of wastewater operational services through the operation, inspection, maintenance & repair of the wastewater treatment and network assets (sink to environment), whilst focusing on managing health and safety, preventing customer impact, monitoring sludge and trade effluent processes, and improving the performance and efficiency of our wastewater services. Head of Wastewater Operations is also responsible for the review, approval and implementation of the national operations, maintenance and repair plans.

During an initial phase of establishment, the Head of Wastewater Operations will support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme and will work with the Integration & Management team to drive standardisation and transformation of work practices in line with the strategic direction for the function.
