From 1st January 2014, Irish Water assumed responsibility for the provision and management of water and wastewater services in Ireland. As a result, Irish Water is responsible for paying suppliers serving the public water and wastewater services sector.

Our key focus areas

The three pillars that we focus our Objectives on are compliance, value for money, risk management. Certain Sourcing activities carried out by Irish Water require compliance with the European Union Utilities Procurement Directive - Directive 2004/17/EC.
