Irish Water is undertaking a competitive tender process (under threshold) to award a works contract. This contract includes the Design and Build for the construction of a new tank sewer and associated works at Blackthorn Avenue, Dún Laoghaire - Rathdown County Council (DLRCC) using tunnelling construction techniques.

The works will include the replacement of sections of trunk and distribution mains between Goldrum, Kilmacrennan and Mountain Top (Letterkenny). In total there will be approximately 4.7km of replaced trunk main (ranging from 300mm to 400mm diameter) and 1.7km of replaced distribution mains (ranging from 150 to 200mm diameter).
