The Operational Efficiency and Contract Management Team, within the Asset Operations function of Irish Water, is accountable for all commercial and procurement activities within Irish Water, including overall budget management for the function, development of the function's capabilities as Irish Water grows, and the performance of operations within this area.

They are responsible for all the commercial & procurement activities across Irish Water. The team manage the end to end procurement process in conjunction with the business functions, Buy-side & sell-Side Commercial Contract processes, manage the gathering, developing, implementing and monitoring of SLA Agreements with the Local Authorities, and commercially monitor DBO and non-standard contracts. They continually implement best practice processes to ensure that Irish Water achieves best value and commercial objectives.

Many of Irish Water’s obligations continue to be delivered through the local authorities under a Service Level Agreement (SLA). The SLA Commercial function has overall accountability for the execution, variation and monitoring of the SLA arrangements with the local authorities.

Reporting to the Central SLA Manager, the Regional SLA Manager will monitor the local authorities’ financial and non-financial performance against their Service Level Agreements and drive areas for Continuous Improvement, Expenditure Optimisation and Revenue Growth within the region. This role will ensure that Irish Water effectively and efficiently oversees the SLA agreements.
