Reporting to the Statutory Planning Manager and working with the different project teams, the Statutory Planning Specialist will be responsible for ensuring such consents and permissions are in place in a timely manner to militate against unnecessary delay and cost in delivering the Capital Investment Plan.

They will ensure a standardised approach taken to obtaining such consents and permissions across Asset Delivery through the development and application of policies, procedures and systems to support the project and programme delivery.

A key part of this role will include responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders such as The Department of Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government, Local Authorities and An Bord Pleanála regarding planning applications, planning policy and legislation. In addition, ongoing engagement and coordination of activity with other planning and environmental functions within Irish Water and Ervia, such as Asset Strategy, Environmental Strategy, Legal and Major Projects, will be crucial.
